Faith

Hebrews 11:6

But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Without faith it is impossible to please God.

Romans 12:3

For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.

God gives a measure of faith to every man.

Mark 11:22-24

So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.

If we exercise the faith we have, mountains of difficulty will be removed.

Romans 10:17

So then faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.

Our faith is increased as we hear God’s words.

Hebrews 4:2

For indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to them; but the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it.

We are benefited by God’s word as we apply it to our lives.

1 John 5:14

Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.

Faith is confidence in God which leads us to do His will.

Luke 5:20

When He saw their faith, He said to him, “Man, your sins are forgiven you.”

Faith can be seen. It is manifest in action.

Matthew 17:20

So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief, for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.

Little faith, as a mustard seed, can grow.

Ephesians 2:8

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God.

We are saved by grace through faith.

Romans 1:5

Through Him we have received grace and apostleship for obedience to the faith among all nations for His name.

Grace leads to the obedience of faith.

Galatians 2:20

I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

The Christian lives by faith.

Hebrews 6:12

…do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

Through faith we inherit the promises of God.

James 2:17

Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.

Faith without works is dead.

1 John 5:4

For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.

We overcome the world through faith.
